Good "all around" herb book

A Wake Up Call Inside YourselfHer writing style is simplistic with poetry and understanding. After the first chapter the reader is enthralled by the deep soul of the writer and the understanding she has about life pertaining to oneself.
I would highly recommend this book to anyone who is looking for a way to understand more about themselves and society. But I would also recommend it to anyone who loves the knowledge of understanding one's soul.

Wonderful!

Radical History you can HearThese are the stories they didn't tell you in American History classes. The abuse of political activists has a long history in this country, and Zinn drives home two instances of it. If you've already read Living my Life and Prison Memoirs of an Anarchist, the Emma Goldman disk will give you little new information, but it's still fun to listen to. I hadn't read much about Sacco & Vanzetti before, but I found way too many parallels between their case and political prisoners like Mumia abu Jamal and Leonard Peltier.
Zinn is not the most dynamic speaker, but these two lectures won't put you to sleep. Well worth the time & money. I'm going to tape them so I can listen when the freeway gets clogged up.

A definite must read for humorous bigger than life heroes!

Our biases keep us from reading books like thisThe word Unconscious is key to this book. As such, one see's this book written close to two decades ago, has no reviews, and sells used for half the cost of shipping. The author Harman has written other powerful books with major heavyweight authors who admire him (e.g. Margret Wheatley). The reality is, people do not take serious their ability to have any impact on their Unconsious thoughts, or that if they could, why bother.
I bought this book years ago, and it did not stick. After reading the book Power of Now, this book has found its mark with me. This is a book that fundamentally is about how to create a mindset that will enable you to not only accomplish more, but become fulfilled with a sense of your own potential.
I would not buy this book if you are skeptical about one's own Unconsiousness, that exploring that area is too illusive to try.
The content about Rene Descartes alone is worth the reading. He uses his story to tell us what we can do today. It is in Chapter 3 "Looking Where the Light Is" subsection "The Man Who Dreamed Up Science". I had no idea how Rene had accomplished what he did, but this book tells the reader the man knew. Yet those who write of Rene tell us the Rene was overtired when he used these so-called methods, and they were not real. "The Taboo Against Inner Knowing" explains why no one pays atttention to these approaches today. I guess that is why no one will likely ever read this review - and people will be able to buy to book used for less that a dollar.
